Passenger Lifts

A passenger lift is the lift you see in a hotel, a shopping centre or any other building which has a large number of visitors and many floors. They allow easy access in high-rise apartment buildings, and are simply a necessity in buildings such as office blocks, which can often have upward of 30 floors. Many buildings see the passenger lifts as a handy convenience. Buildings with maybe 2 or 3 floors could have one lift installed to ease travel between floors, and accommodate disabled visitors. They typically do not have the capacity to carry extremely heavy loads, which might be required in an industrial warehouse, but for carrying passengers they are ideally equipped.

Someone who has just completed a weekly shop may well be physically able to carry their load up three flights of stairs, possibly even more. But it won’t do them good, and could possibly cause an accident. A passenger lift installation facilitates this procedure for such a user, allowing them to conveniently travel between floors with as little hassle as possible.
A situation that renders a passenger lift essential would be in a building with a large number of floors. It is impractical to assume that people would travel a huge number of staircases to reach their office or home for example. These people require a passenger lift, as without one their journey would be tiring and potentially dangerous.
